Alleged knife threat results in lockdown of Georgetown school

Reports of a person being threatened by a knife resulted in the lockdown of a Georgetown school late last week.
Staff at Christ the King Catholic Secondary School contacted Halton Regional Police around noon on Thursday (Sept. 28) alleging that someone had been threatened with a knife.
The secondary school, located on 161 Guelph St., was placed in lockdown after police arrived.
Police would locate those involved in the alleged incident and found no weapons. No injuries were reported.
No charges have been laid.
Halton police are continuing their investigation.
