If you want to celebrate Halloween in an unlikely venue, you can.
Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) will be hosting a 19-plus Halloween celebration at Hendrie Park (680 Plains Rd. W.) on Thursday, Oct. 26.
RBG After Dark: Boos and Brews, the adults-only ticketed event, will kick off at 6 p.m. and run until 11 p.m.
“RBG’s Hendrie Park transforms under the cover of darkness for an exclusive, adult-only Halloween celebration which is sure to send a chill up your spine!” the event website reads.
According to the website, attendees–who are encouraged to show up in appropriate and respectful costumes–will be able to follow hundreds of jack-o-lanterns down the Great Pumpkin Trail deep in the Hendrie Valley before finding mini-midway and food trucks.
The Great Pumpkin Trail is a 1-kilometre route that begins in Hendrie Park and leads into the valley. The trail ends at the Cherry Hill Trail Head. Not all of the route is wheelchair accessible.
The trail route is lit by the jack-o-lanterns. You are encouraged to bring a flashlight as it can get dark out there!
There will also be music and attendees can feel free to hit the stage with Good Enough Live Karaoke for a song in the Tent of Rock.
As the name implies, eventgoers can also indulge in some craft brews while taking in RBG’s autumn nightscape.
Tickets provide access to Hendrie Park and the Great Pumpkin Trail. Midway ride tickets, food, and beverages are sold separately and can be purchased on-site during the event.
Pets other than service animals are not permitted to attend.
