Acton McDonald’s restaurant closed July 31 for national commercial shoot

If you’re craving a Big Mac or chicken mcnuggets in Acton today, you’re out of luck.

The Acton McDonald’s, 374 Queen St., is closed all day Monday, July 31, for the filming of a national commercial.

Tim O’Connor, the owner of the restaurant, shared some pictures on Facebook of the commercial setup this morning.

He said the Acton store was chosen for the shoot because it has been recently renovated.

The commercial is for a secret future food item. McDonald’s wasn’t sharing what it was for competitive reasons.

The Acton location will reopen at 5 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 1.
