A pair of summer road closures will inconvenience Milton drivers

Drivers in Milton will have to negotiate some road closures over the next few weeks.

Fifth Line, south of Yukon Court, will be closed from July 24 to Aug. 25 in order to facilitate culvert construction on Fifth Line.

Drivers will be asked to detour using Derry Rd., James Snow Pkwy. and Main St. E.

In addition, McNiven Rd., from Derry Rd. to Conservation Rd., will be close for bridge maintenance from July 24 to Aug. 28.

The detour for drivers is Conservation Rd., Millborough Town Line and Derry Rd.

The Town of Milton has been investing in community infrastructure to make travel safe and accessible.

During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while travelling in and around construction areas.

Town-led construction is essential municipal work to ensure Milton’s infrastructure remains safe, in state of good repair and able to meet the community’s needs now and in the future.
