Burlington sidewalk Aldershot 2025

An overhaul of a Burlington neighbourhood will see sidewalks installed for the first time.

The work in the Aldershot community will bring the changes to Park Avenue East, Park Avenue West, and Aldershot Place.

A public meeting to discuss the work that will be carried out is scheduled for  Oct. 1, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at LaSalle Park Pavilion, 50 North Shore Boulevard.

The plan is for the sidewalk to be installed on one side of each street.

As well, the joint City of Burlington and Halton Region project will see a replacement of the watermain system, curbs, gutters, a storm sewer, new street lights and the laying down of new asphalt.

The work is scheduled to begin in 2025.

At the meeting Burlington city staff will present the plans and residents will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Also, residents on the affected streets will receive a letter in advance of the meeting from the city’s engineering department providing more details about the project and the public meeting. The letter will include a link to the project webpage (which is not yet complete), where residents can go and view the plans and sidewalk locations ahead of the meeting.
