5 homes just sold for less than $550k in Oakville, Burlington and Milton

While the average price of a home in the Halton region stood at more than $1 million in June ($1,252,642, to be exact, according to data from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board), recent sales suggest that some properties in Oakville, Burlington and Milton are selling for closer to the half-a-million-dollar mark.

Recently, real estate website and brokerage Zoocasa rounded up a list of the least expensive homes that just changed hands in one of Ontario’s most expensive regions.

Here’s a look at homes that sold for well under the Halton average in July:


219 – 1284 Guelph Line – Burlington

This Mountainside area condo just sold for $440,000 after being listed for $449,900. The updated and modern unit boasts one bedroom, one bathroom, nine-foot ceilings and an open-concept design. The listing says the suite also offers natural cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a spacious bedroom with a walk-in closet. Other amenities include a shared rooftop patio and a party room. 


304 – 1411 Walkers Line – Burlington

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo sold for $440,000 after hitting the market at $459,900. The freshly painted unit offers 650 square feet of space and an open-concept layout. Move-in ready, the suite comes with one underground parking spot, a storage locker, and ample visitor parking. According to the listing, the building is close to restaurants, parks, and trails.


118 – 2030 Cleaver Ave. – Burlington

This modern and elegantly decorated ground-level suite offers one bedroom, one bathroom and one parking space. It sold for $462,000 after being listed for $479,777. The unit boasts a fresh coat of paint, a new (and owned) hot water heater, in-suite laundry and a new AC (installed on the balcony). The pet-friendly building is located in the Forest Chase community and is close to the Walkers Line and Upper Middle Road area. 


101 – 1005 Nadalin Heights – Milton

Located in the town’s Wilmott neighbourhood, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo just sold for $470,000 after hitting the market at $489,900. The listing says the suite is ideal for first-time buyers, empty nesters and investors and features a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, modern flooring, a covered terrace and proximity to shops, trails and Milton Community Park. 


306 – 1470 Bishops Gate – Oakville

The most expensive property on the list, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo in Oakville’s Glen Abbey neighbourhood, recently sold for $510,000 after hitting the market at $515,000. Close to trails, parks and recreational facilities, the unit offers approximately 700 square feet of space, a spacious bedroom, a den with a closet, a chef’s breakfast bar and a four-piece bathroom with a bidet and a linen closet.
