A proposed redevelopment along one of Burlington’s main thoroughfares could see some homes and a dental office replaced by a mid-rise condominium building.

The project has been in the works since last year but recently a development application was submitted to the City of Burlington for 141, 147, and 153 Plains Road West.

Proposed by the Goldberg Group, the plan calls for an 11-storey mixed-use building with 150 residential units consisting of one, two and three-bedroom dwellings.

The ground floor of the building will be available for stores or other commercial uses and two levels of underground parking will be available.

One driveway to the building will run off Plains Road.

Currently at the site are two houses and a two-storey dental office.

Builders are looking to make changes to the city’s official plan and zoning bylaws to proceed with the project but no decisions have been made.

The public can make written comments about the project by Oct. 22 via mail or email. All comments will be included in the eventual planners’ report about the application. Mailing information can be found here.
