Trees — lots of them — available for free to Burlington residents

Shagbark Hickory, Basswood, Ironwood, Balsam Fir, and Mountain Ash.

These are the types of trees available for Burlington residents.

Trees are free but residents will need to register and select their preferred tree.

Types and quantities are limited to first registered, first served — one tree per address.

Once you register and are accepted, the pickup date is Saturday, Sept. 21.

Pickup time is dependent on the species selected but generally, it will be between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The location for pickup is Roads, Parks and Forestry Operations Centre, 3330 Harvester Road.

The trees will be in 3-gallon pots and range in height from 40 to 200 cm. A City staff member will place the tree in your vehicle.
