Microchips and shots for rabies available for pets at weekend clinic in Burlington

A clinic will be held this Saturday (Sept. 7) for pet owners to get extra protection for their dogs and cats.

To be held at the Burlington Animal Shelter, 2424 Industrial Street, the clinic is for microchips and rabies shots.

The cost is $60 for both procedures or $35 each for the rabies shot or microchip.

You can call 905-335-7777 to book an appointment. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All proceeds from the event will go to P.A.W. Fund in support of stray animals.

In Ontario, the law requires the vaccination of all cats and dogs that are at least 3 months old for rabies.

The Burlington Animal Shelter is operated by the city and is a place you can go to adopt pets.
